I miss my grandparents so much when I heard takbir raya on raya morning. Hubby went solat raya with our eldest son. The house was pretty quiet except for the sound of takbir raya coming from a nearby mosque. I was at home with the little one. Terkenang raya di kampung. Thinking of my late grandparents and hometown almost brought tears to my eyes. So meriah unlike raya in KL. But when I saw my youngest son enthusiastically getting ready with a comb in his lefthand and with his righthand trying to buckle his sampin, I laughed. I'm not going to let my emotion ruin my raya. I sedekah Al Fatihah to all my ancestors. They are at a better place..insyaAllah.
Anyways, raya was sweet. Celebrated at my in laws in the morning and then we went to my cousin's house and parents house. From AM to PM makan-makan and sembang-sembang. :D
Recently the boys' air-condition pipe leaked and left watermark on the boys' toilet ceiling. The sight of it has been bothering me ever since. I can't get anyone to come over to paint the toilet ceiling. They said that it's too little, not worth their time. And I don't want them to overcharge me either.
Anyways, when hubby told me that he'll be away for 2 days, I knew that, this would be my only chance to paint the toilet ceiling before Eid. I know hubby won't allow me to paint. I've tried convincing him but he said that I've no experience in painting, so I better not.
While he was away, I took matters in my own two hands (Shhh! like I always do *evil grin*). Yes, I've never paint before, but there's always a first time in everything right? Ahaks!
When he left, I took out a can of leftover brown paint and a ladder in the yard. I went out and bought a wooden stick, paint roller, brush, paint tray, masking tape (to tape roller to the stick).
I was busy during the day and I only started painting later in the evening. Obviously the best time to paint is during the day.
It's looks perfect to me :D
Hehehe! Hubby called me while I was painting the toilet. He asked me what took me so long to answer the phone. I told him that I was in the toilet. He asked what was I doing in the toilet. I told him, I was painting the toilet. He laughed. The next day, when Hubby came home, he was surprised that I actually painted the toilet. He thought I was being sarcastic. LMAO!
Last Saturday..."Mommy daddy come quick. Rayn bumped his head in the shower. There's blood everywhere!" When we heard that, we both jumped and rushed to the toilet. We saw our youngest son in the shower with blood trickling down his face and he was crying. I couldn't see how long or deep the cut was due to the amount of blood oozing out out his forehead. I covered his wound with a clean cloth and dressed him up. Hubby rushed him to D'sara Specialist Hosp. Luckily, (Alhamdulillah) it was a Saturday and Dr Razak (Pediatric Surgeon) was in his clinic on that day. I know Dr Razak is good with kids. He circumcised both my boys.
Anyways, I don't know how it's going to look like once the wound heals. I really really hope it doesn't leave an obvious scar. Seeing the Dr again in a few days.
But syukur, he is well. He's not complaining about any pain nor behaving any differently than usual. He is at home today. I noticed that his head is still a lil swollen so it's best to keep him at home. I'm just afraid he might bump his forehead while playing at school.
His mommy was an accident prone kid.
When I was 7, I stepped on a mosquito coil metal stand. It pierced straight into my left foot. I received 4 stitches.
A few years later, I had a bicycle accident with my sister (I was 9yrs old) and I had a cut on the bridge of my nose. I received 3 stitches. Glad the scar is not obvious now. Hehe!
And then at 12 yrs old I fell off the staircase banister while sliding down in school uniform (baju kurung) at home. Glad I didn't receive any stitches but I remembered sitting on a couch, I had this annoying ringing in my ear and a terrible pounding pain in my head. I saw lots of blood on my left shoulder that soaked my school uniform. Apparently, based on my x-ray result, there was a tiny crack on my left skull (temporal bone). Again, I'm glad there wasn't an internal bleeding. But I can't remember where I fell and what happened right after I fell. I remember sitting on a couch upstairs and my late grandmother was infront of me crying while wiping the blood off me. My cousin and sister told me that they heard a thud sound and saw me hiding under the staircase on the lower ground floor. So that means I walked or crawled away from where I fell and hid myself. So weird! I was sliding on the 1st floor staircase banister so I probably fell 9ft down. I think my head hit the horizontal banister on the ground floor, before landing on the ground. Could have been worst if the staircases weren't carpeted. *smirk*
4 days later.....
He's still wearing that same brave smile...Alhamdulillah.
When I get bored I go out and when I'm too lazy to go out I shop online. *smirk*
Entahlah lately, I've been getting acne. Yeah now in my mid 30's tiba2 lah pulak pimples here and there. Sigh. So I decided to try out this organic skincare for a change. Enough of applying harmful chemicals on my skin. Maybe my skin is acting out due to all these chemicals I'm been smothering. If I can feed myself healthy food why not feed my skin with something healthy too. I decided to try out organic skincare but didn't know which one to try because there are a few currently in the market. I came across Beauty Juice shop, when I was in The Gardens recently. I bought the green apple mask. It smells yummy, like apple sauce I used to make for my boys when they were babies. Anyways, I googled Juice beauty, and I came across it's clear skin range. Something about adult acne problem. AH! Just what I'm looking for. I don't really mind the pimples but I HATE HATE HATE the ugly black spots/scars it leaves behind. Because it takes months to disappear.
I'm glad I found Juice Beauty in Lazada. At least I don't have to drive to The Gardens to buy it, because I can just buy it online. BUT I wasn't really impressed with the amount of time Lazada took to deliver the goods. I ordered on the 11th of July and I've just received it today 6th of August. It took longer than I expected but it's worth the wait lah. Zalora, was fast. It only took them 3 working days.
nicely displayed for photography's sake. LOL!
Review: So far I've just tried it once today. It feels nice on the skin. Love the fruity scent.
